Enjoying rapid expansion, and outgrowing their existing brand, our brief was to rebrand The Urbanists from the ground up.


Delivering a fresh identity

We worked with The Urbanists leadership team to fully understand their customers and partners. We conducted brand strategy workshops to hear more about the services they provide, and to gain an understanding of their internal culture and how they see themselves.

The big idea of ‘placemaking perspectives’ provided a foundation by which to create the new brand position.
We brought the new brand to life with a fresh new colour palette in pastel tones, moving from a complex brand mark to one of simple elegance. This visual expression was carried through to bespoke illustrations and infographics to provide a graphic system.

The concept was rolled out across a complete suite of digital and printed marketing collateral including business case proposal templates, standardised templates for planning/scheme documents, social media assets, and presentation and slide deck packs.

We produced full brand guidelines which are an essential tool for the team to utilise and apply the brand and visual concept effectively across materials and communication channels going forwards.

For brand awareness, client acquisition and an effective marketing and communications tool, we designed and built The Urbanists a brand-new website in WordPress. We provided training to enable members of The Urbanists’ web team to be self-sufficient in managing and maintaining the website content.
